Closer Aroldis Chapman maintained
a strategic distance from a compensation discretion hearing with the Cincinnati
Reds by consenting to an one-year, $8.05 million agreement Friday.

Chapman is averaging 15.3 strikeouts every nine innings over his real class
vocation.
Chapman, a three-time All-Star,
has 113 recoveries over parts of five seasons with the Reds. He has 430
